Brainspotting Session

Where You Look Affects How You Feel

Brainspotting (BSP) is a powerful, focused treatment that works by identifying, processing, and releasing core neurobiological sources of emotional and body-based pain.

The Scientific Edge:

Unlike talk therapy, Brainspotting accesses the midbrain and brainstem. It is designed to find the "stuck" trauma in the nervous system and allow for full resolution.

Applications of Brainspotting

Trauma & PTSD

Neurological Release

Effectively targets complex trauma and PTSD symptoms that have been resistant to traditional psychotherapy.

Performance

Executive Clarity

Used by professionals and athletes to clear "blocks" and anxiety, allowing for peak performance and emotional regulation.

Body-Based Healing

Physical Integration

Addresses the physical manifestations of trauma, including chronic tension, migraines, and nervous system dysregulation.

Psychiatrist Oversight

Psychiatrist-Led Brainspotting Care

At Resilience, we don't just provide therapy; we provide medical-grade trauma recovery. Our Brainspotting sessions are part of a psychiatrist-led care plan.

Why Oversight Matters:

We ensure that your neurochemistry is supported through biological stabilization while you do the deep work of reprocessing trauma.

Brainspotting & Admissions FAQ

Information for our New Jersey Treatment Center.

Understanding Brainspotting
What exactly is a "Brainspot"?
A "Brainspot" is an eye position which correlates with the physiological activation of a traumatic or emotionally charged issue within the brain. By holding this eye position, we allow the brain to process the memory to completion.
How is Brainspotting different from EMDR?
While both are "bottom-up" brain-based therapies, EMDR uses rapid eye movements (bilateral stimulation) while Brainspotting uses fixed eye positions. Many find Brainspotting to be more precise for deep-seated somatic (body) trauma.
Admissions & Insurance
Is Brainspotting covered by insurance?
Yes. When Brainspotting is part of our Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) or clinical treatment plan, it is covered by major commercial providers (Aetna, Cigna, BCBS, United).
How do I get started?
Our 3-step process:
1. Consultation: 10-minute confidential phone call.
2. Verification: Insurance benefits checked in 2 hours.
3. Assessment: Start your recovery, often within 48 hours.
Program Experience
Can I do Brainspotting in the evening?
Yes. Our **Professional Evening IOP (6pm–9pm)** includes Brainspotting sessions, allowing you to maintain your career while engaging in deep neurological healing.
What is the success rate of Brainspotting?
Brainspotting is a highly effective, evidence-based modality. It was originally discovered through EMDR research and has since become a leading tool for resolving complex trauma and performance anxiety.
