What does a Telehealth Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) consist of?

An Intensive Outpatient Program is a level of care for the treatment of Addiction and Mental Health that consists of Individual Therapy, Psychiatric Treatment care and Medication Management, and Group Therapy. The program is atleast 3 days per week and 3.5 hours per day.

During an IOP, clients will do the following:

  • Group therapy sessions
  • Individual counseling
  • Life skills classes
  • Support groups
  • Psychiatric Evaluation
  • Genetic Testing

IOP programs also offer courses to address the issues that cause addiction and mental health issues. These courses might include topics like:

Is a Telehealth IOP the same as an in-person IOP?

A Telehealth IOP is the same program as an in-person IOP except for the fact that you are attending through the use of an electronic device like a smartphone, tablet, or computer from the comfort of your own home.
